An Informative Guide to the U.S. Investor Visa (EB-5).

The EB-5 visa was created by Congress in 1990 to offer foreign investors and immediate family members the ability to obtain permanent residency in the United States in exchange for capital investment in a business which must create at least ten full-time jobs. An investment of $1.8 million as an investor in a business—(requirement: at least ten full-time jobs)—will secure them a green card and eventually lead to applications for citizenship. This includes choosing a qualifying investment, filing Form I-526, obtaining a conditional green card, and then removing the conditions in pursuit of permanent residency. It allows you to live and work anywhere in the United States, attend schools and universities for your children, and find a way for business expansion.
