German Star Duda Claims his Maiden National Title
A golden moment for the German star Benedikt Duda as he claimed his maiden title at the German National Championship. The Stupa star emerged victorious after an amazing comeback against Bastian Stegar. August has been an amazing month for the young and talented athlete, first his team secured the Olympic silver and now his first maiden German Nationals title in his career. Duda also dominated the doubles category to claim his fourth consecutive doubles trophy alongside Dang Qiu. A proud moment for Duda and the Stupa family as this goes down in the books for the very first time.

The 89th National German Championships at the ÖVB-Arena Bremen proved promising as Benedikt secured his first men’s National title with a 4-2 win over the two-time champion Bastian Stegar. This was Duda’s second attempt that finally paid off. Last year, the 27-year-old from Bergneustadt lost the finals against Ricardo Walther. This year, the world ranked 42 had a secret weapon in his pocket: Stupa analytics that made the difference. The young hero knocked out the 20-year-old Fulda talent Fan Bo Meng in the semi-finals with a cruise control 4-1 win. Whereas, Steger fought his way to the finals with a 4-3 victory over defensive artist Ruwen Filus (Fulda-Maberzell).
